Smithtown Acura Supports

Smithtown Acura is proud to be a part of the Toys for Tots program for the third year in a row! Help us brighten the holiday season for Long Island children this year by donating new, unwrapped toys at our dealership. Drop off boxes will be located in the main showroom and in the Service Department starting November 1st, 2011. As a thank you for participating, we are offering a coupon for 10% off Service Labor to anyone who donates.

Toys for Tots began in 1947 when U.S. Marine Corps Major Bill Hendricks and a group of Marine Reservists in Los Angeles collected and distributed 5,000 toys to needy children for Christmas. In 1948, the program expanded and became a nationwide campaign. As of 2009, the Toys for Tots program and foundation, has collected and distributed almost five hundred million toys.
